The Connaught Trust – Grant Decisions – September 2018

Meeting on September 13th, the Board saw applications from cadets, reservists and a school combined cadet force.
Full or partial funding was allocated against several ski challenges for army cadets as well as equipment, training kit and a sailing dinghy for three companies of sea cadets respectively.

Berkshire Army Cadet Force Annual Camp 2018

The Royal County of Berkshire Army Cadet Force conducted its Annual Camp at West Tofts Training Camp, Norfolk over 3rd – 12th August 2018 with 62 Cadet Force Adult Volunteers (CFAV) and 157 Cadets taking part.

Inter Service Clay Competition 2018 RAFAC

Over the weekend of the 23/24 June some 36 teams from the ACF/CCF & RAFAC took part in the annual Inter Service Clay Target Competition at Cambridge Gun Club.

T. S. Jack Petchey Central District Offshore Voyage

Saturday 16th March 2018 was the start of a big adventure for 14 cadets from Central District Sea Cadets.
Setting from their units in Cowes, Ryde, Gosport, Portsmouth, Chichester, Bognor Littlehampton and Worthing the cadets arrive at Fort Blockhouse to join the Sea Cadet Training vessel Jack Petchey.

The Royal County of Berkshire Army Cadet Force Norway Exchange 2018

The Royal County of Berkshire Army Cadet Force conducted its bi-annual exchange with HV02 District Oslo and Akershus at Hiestadmoen Training Camp (Telemark, Norway) over 16th to 25th Feb 2018 with 11 Cadet Force Adult Volunteers (CFAV) and 39 Cadets taking part.

Southampton University Training Corps Winter Challenge

In December 2017, a group of officer cadets from Southampton University Officer Training Corps (SUOTC) took part in a skiing exercise in the French alpine resort of Tignes alongside similar contingents from Bristol UOTC and Aberdeen UOTC.

Budmouth College CCF – Trans Andes Expedition

For cadets from Budmouth College the adventure started a little early as the American Airlines Boeing pushed back at Miami after the catering was struck by lightning. As the aircraft taxied to the runway the most violent of thunderstorms erupted over the airfield.
