After the last two years of adventures in the Dolomites, this year, for its annual expedition Dorset ACF was staying home based. So immediately thoughts turned to the world class scrambling and rock climbing available in North Wales. However even the biggest fans of the area could not have imagined that the weather would have been so perfect, allowing us to have some truly memorable adventures. The Cadets spent 4 days enjoying hill walking, scrambling and rock climbing and coasteering.
“Ex Venturer Snowdon was an amazing experience that has brought me out of my comfort zone including abseiling, rock climbing and jumping off ledges into the sea. It made me meet new people from different backgrounds and conquer some of my fears. It was a great experience.”
“During the Wales trip I really enjoyed my time. I had greatest fun scrambling and coasteering as well as rock climbing, which I particularly enjoyed. This has helped me overcome my fear of heights and has made me realise I am much more capable than I think I am and that I just haver to keep going and pushing myself. I really think this week helped my self confidence,”
