On Saturday 20th September, the Band of the Royal Marines Volunteer Cadet Corps (RMVCC) Gosport proudly took part in the Lee-on-Solent Victory Parade – but this year’s appearance was extra special.
Thanks to the generous support of The Connaught Trust, our cadets now have brand-new ceremonial uniforms which have elevated the standard of our public appearances, allowing our band to represent the best of the Royal Marines Volunteer Cadet Corps at community events, parades, and formal engagements.
Beyond the visual impact, the uniforms have had a profound effect on our cadets’ confidence and sense of belonging. Wearing the same ceremonial attire as their peers reinforces teamwork and mutual respect, while also strengthening their connection to the Corps’ traditions. Your contribution has helped us foster a deeper sense of self-respect and motivation among our young musicians, and we thank you sincerely for investing in their development and in the future of our band.
We are deeply grateful to The Connaught Trust for making this possible. Their contribution has invested not only in the future of our band but also in the personal growth and self-belief of each cadet who proudly wears the uniform.
Thank you for helping us represent the RMVCC Gosport with the pride and professionalism it deserves.
